  • 1.  Private Tape is not reading/showing on LIBVOL

    Hi Team,

    I am looking for information how to recognize the private tape which is reinserted and assign to different pool earlier. It is showing on web interface of Library after inserting but it is not showing on Libvol. Pls advice me any option I tried these commands.

    checkin libvol 3573lib kg1647l4 status=private

    Although process run for some time but no result.

    If you don't check in the tape by searching the bulk I/O ports, you have to do an 'audit library 3573lib checkl=no' before checking in the tape.

    Espen,

    Now tape is in the Library and data center is far from my office is there any other way i can recognize those tapes.

    Do you have to drive there to run an 'audit library' command?

    Yes, I have one drive available on that details below.

    Drive name is -drive1

    Drive type-LTO

    Hi,

    After executing below command it started recognizing the private tape in my case.

    checkin libv 3573lib search=bulk status=private
