I am currently running my TSM server estate at version 7.1.3 clients are baselined at 8.1.4, question anyone think of a good reason not to upgrade servers to version 8.1.4 Spectrum Protect, or are there some features in later release I should be aware of?

There are many good features in the newer versions, but I would definitely be aware of the enhanced security introduced starting in v7.1.8.  Every environment is different, but when we upgraded TSM from v7.1.7 to 8.1.1 in Dec 2017, the new security did not apply correctly, which negatively impacted our environment affecting client-to-server communications.
