Can we Get alert for TSM Server Down

  • 1.  Can we Get alert for TSM Server Down

    Hi All,

    Can we get the alerts on email from operation center specifically when my TSM server is halted or is down for unknown reason. I have added ANR0169E into alert area but not sure that will give me the result which i am expecting.

    If it is not there, you should submit an RFE

    Or, use nagios (or similar) to monitor 1500/tcp remote, or check for running tasks like 'DB2/dsmserv' on the local system.

    I think a remote system that does a scheduled dsmc q sess is a nice test to monitor Spectrum Protect

    Have a look at adsm.org, maybe someone got another solution there

    You can use Tivoli Operation center or Servergraph from Rocket software.

    Hi Parul,

    I could not find in operation center to setup the alert if dsmserv or db2 service is down as far as Tak prospective but host is up and tsm application is down.

    It is third party apps. You can use servergraph also. It has lots of reporting and TSM Admin also. It has alert feature for TSM Server down, Deduplication error, move data error etc. There are many alert and you can customize it.
