  • 1.  FCTool 4.2.2 and Hana 20 SPS3 not cleaning up snapshots

In our test environment, the SYSTEM database only shows the current active snaps (3),  but the tennant shows all the snaps we have ever taken (including the ones that were automatically deleted).

Is there a way to tell FCTool to also remove the snapshot entries from the tenant DB backup directory?

    Thanks

    Hi Mike,

the second KEY should do the job:
FCtool needs a KEY for SYS & SID.
If keys are not generated for SYSTEM, but for a backup user, then this backup user needs these priviledges:
BACKUP ADMIN, BACKUP OPERATOR, CATALOG READ.
    Thanks, Markus

    Hi Mike,
did you add second key for SID DB in addition to SYS SID ?

Also what user are you using, SYSTEM ?
If not, please ensure that "BACKUP" user has there privileges: BACKUP ADMIN, BACKUP OPERATOR, CATALOG READ.
    Thank you, Markus

    Hi Mike,
to do so fctool needs an appropriated second key (mandatory).

First key must be SYS, second SID.
The backup user (if not SYSTEM) needs to have these authorizations: BACKUP ADMIN, BACKUP OPERATOR, CATALOG READ.
    Thanks, Markus
