I'll never forget the moment on my first day in my Graphic Design course at UMBC when my professor said, "At this moment, you are all designers.” I quickly realized that graphic design is much more complex problem solving than simply creating pretty images. I knew then that the mission for my career was a quest for the variable in the visual equation.
My career has been primarily IT-based on the surface--I started at Apple Inc. as a Mac Genius, moved on to Flextronics, and currently work in Customer Platform Services at IBM. Supporting clients in the tech industry and finding that elusive design variable is my mission and the cornerstone of my career. My professor's words have boomed in my memory each step of this journey and have led to my coming into my own as a multilevel problem solver. This is what I do.
