Bryn Abbott recently brought this up ... but I'm experiencing the same issue but on Android devices. If we remove control of the device and actively hide it, sometimes the device will heartbeat in afterwards and then re-enroll itself as an active device record. First I'm going to assume that these are managed devices (Apple DEP enrollment & Android Enterprise). As I understand it ... and please correct me if I'm wrong ... iOS - depends on the device checking in and the location doesn't update unless the device moves by a mile. Also factoring into new iOS ...

Melissa, is this for iOS or Android? Also it's been my experience that after publishing the policy, you might have to do a manual refresh on the device for it to check in and grab the latest policy update. ------------------------------ Ray Domingue ------------------------------

We've been through this before ... but slightly different with changes in UserIDs. All in all, it's been our experience to FDR or wipe the device and re-enroll under the proper settings (ID in my case) fixes the issue. Hope that helps. ------------------------------ Ray Domingue -------------- ...

I think the app is just there, but you have to be enrolled or activated into it in order to see your emails. [BTW, Enrolled is managed and activated is BYOD.] ------------------------------ Ray Domingue ------------------------------
