The art of social engineering is key to successful fraud. With malware actors moving to exclusive not-for-sale rings, we see a rise in numbers and sophistication of phishing, RAT and mobile attacks across APJ.

This RSA APJ session will focus on a new wave of attack vectors, how social engineering is leveraged in each one, how they bypass security processes, and advise fraud teams on how to counter such threats.

Speakers:



Tal Darsan heads the Security Research Group at IBM Security Trusteer Labs. He has over a decade of experience analyzing fraud-related cyber threats and he's responsible for many in-depth malware investigations. Prior to IBM, he worked at RSA Security, where he mainly focused on the analysis of banking malware. Darsan holds a bachelor of science in computer science with a specialization in cybersecurity.

Danna Pelleg heads the Security Web Research Group at IBM Security Trusteer Labs. In her role, she manages a cyber-fraud response team, as well as the Cybersecurity web research lab to combat fraud. Moreover, she is responsible for threat intel research across different industries. She previously worked at RSA Security, where she examined threats in the banking industry. Pelleg holds a B.A in behavioral Science.
