IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager (GKLM), formerly known as Security Key Lifecycle Manager (SKLM), centralizes, simplifies, and automates the encryption key management process to help protect encrypted data and simplify encryption key management.

Key enhancements on GKLM traditional include WebSphere Application Server Liberty replacing WebSphere Application Server traditional as the application server, simplified user management with UI and REST based interfaces for configuring user authentication and management.


Key enhancements on GKLM container include support for horizontal scaling, and support for ICSF as a master key repository for GKLM on zCX using EKMF Web.


And, on both editions, you can now use Open ID Connect (OIDC) for user authentication, and use a system token to recover GKLM when the graphical user interface is unavailable.

This session will cover the new features and enhancements on the GKLM traditional and GKLM container editions.
