  • 1.  Problem installing apps - Access revoked

    Posted Wed April 01, 2020 08:21 AM
I have recently enrolled a batch of Samsung Galaxy A20e devices using Enterprise enrollment in DO mode.

One of these devices is having issues pulling down the apps from the catalog.

I can't see why - same policy across the handsets and all others are silently installing the apps OK.

I can see that a majority of the apps are pending install but also that Samsung attestation has failed, could this be something to do with it?

If I go into the catalog on the device and select an app I get the same message.

Anyone come across this know of a fix?

    Hi Bryn
I would do a factory reset of the handset and enroll it again from scratch.

    Best regards,
    Eric Bos

    Hello Eric!

You know we also see this sometimes with Samsung PO enrolled devices in our environment.

I had no chance to collect logs and report it over ticket!

    Thanks

    Mit freundlichen Gruessen / Regards

    Hi
Just some additional considerations to what has been discussed already.
    1. Samsung attestation - suggest you switch off the requirement for this and switch on the equivalent Google attestation requirement in your device policy. The Google attestation does the same thing.  Based on your message this might be the issue.
    2. In any case you may want to remember that for Android Enterprise enrollment you have a max limit of 10 devices per Google ID, this may correspond to your screenshot, please verify Setup > Settings > Device Enrollment > Basic > Default new Device Addition Mode for Self Enrollment. There is a choice between Device Account and User Account here, we recommend User Account unless you have a very restricted use case for kiosk mode devices. And then you could check the Google ID on the device and verify how many are enrolled to this ID by performing an Advanced Search.
