Designate the File name of the attched file in a Email Report

  • 1.  Designate the File name of the attched file in a Email Report

    I have a job set up to email a report I created via SORTLIST and where I manually insert comma's for a comma delimited file.   Is there a way for me to designate the attached file name or the attached file extension.   Right now the email attachments are using CSDATU1.TXT, I would at least like to do CSDATAU1.CSV.

    I assume this might be done via FILEOPTIONS, but so far I have not located the right option.​

    I had that same idea several times over the years, but it was not implemented as a CARLa function.  You can, of course, enter an RFE to add this to the wish list. 
    Be sure to point out that a NEWLIST HEADER=CSVT parameter should automatically set the filetype to CSV, etc.  Do you also want/need to control the value before the dot (filename part)?

    You cannot configure the extension. The part before the extension is the NEWLIST NAME= value, or if that is not there 'zSecure_report'.
