  • 1.  ISAM - How to change password ?

    Hello Team,

    We are enforcing the password policies from LDAP.

    When we uncheck the Password Valid option(from policy administration) under a specific user then we can change the user password with the changePassword method on the user object(com.ibm.security.access.user.User).

    But when the user password is expired by policy(LDAP). After that, if we try to change the password with the same method we get the below error.

    HPDAA0305E The registry reported the password has expired.

    is there any other method to change the password when the password is expired by the policy?

    Hi Mukesh,

    What type of LDAP directory is this?  Different directories have different requirements when it comes to changing (or resetting) an already expired password.
