Use filters on data placed on Cards - Analyst Notebook

  • 1.  Use filters on data placed on Cards - Analyst Notebook

    Posted Mon December 28, 2020 05:52 AM
    Hello everyone.

I want to create an import of communications between cell phones, in which the link will be unique between cell phones having only the information on how many times they have communicated with each other.

However, I want to create cards (in the link) to insert the dates and times and other information of the communications.

The idea is to be able to have a cleaner diagram, and minimize the links, but have all the information in the diagram.

So far so good, however when I try to use the date and time filters, I can't use it, because supposedly the date and time information on the cards, it is not possible to analyze them in the filters, only in visual research.

    Any solution??

    Dear Paulo,

Temporal data (date and time) stored in cards could be used for analysis with the "Activity view" function or "Conditional formatting" (but keep in mind that when the specific link is changed/selected under your rules - you will need open this link property in order to see one or several cards info met these rules).
My suggestion to initially create a chart with "multiple connections" for complete analysis purpose and after you could easily change all these links to single multiplicity with "Sum Numerik Links" for a nicer view.

    Have a nice day

    Ruta

    Hello Paulo.

    I like Ruta soultion.
I may have another one or a variant of it.  Make sure that during the import you create one single card for each call, that is on the link, goto cards, check create cards and uncheck merge cards, populate you card with the information, including date and time.
ANB has a function under Analyze called List Cards.  It will list all the cards regardless of how many calls you have on that link.
You can use that to filter your date and time if you like.
I have also used the duration of the call as a filter on my card by placing the duration of the call as a title of my card, allowing me to filter quickly my cards based on the duration.

    Hope this help to.

    Best regards.
