Today, we released an upgrade to the Data Feeder, v2.0.0, which separates out the different datasources into their own packaged plugins. No specific new functionality is introduced. But this new packaging model will allow additional plugins to be written by anyone and changes to each plugin to be independent of each other.
The App Exchange will now show the base package, Data Feeder for Resilient, along with the named plugins (see image below ). View these packages and others we've recently published at
https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/hub/dashboard.
In summary, the current list of plugins are:
- ODBC databases
* PostgreSQL
* MySQL (MariaDB)
* Microsoft SQLServer
* Oracle
* SQLite file/database
- Local directory (one file per object)
- Elasticsearch
- Kafka
- Splunk
This change is especially useful for enterprises which had to install the ODBC environment libraries, especially if their datastore did not utilize that environment. And as before, these plugins can be mixed and match together, based on your datastore needs.
We have a few enhancements planned for Q1 2020:
- adding Incident timer data introduced in Resilient v35
- adding a second Resilient (or organization) as a datastore
If you have additional requests for enhancement, please let us know.
