IBM Cloud Security can be divided into two key areas. First, IBM offers information security management, which is the process of determining what IBM Cloud Policies will be in place and how they will be enforced. IBM collects and utilizes information about its customers and determines what types of information needs to be protected by IBM Cloud Security and what information should be allowed to pass through IBM's Cloud Security policies. Information security management also involves the process of compliance testing. This part of IBM's information security policies helps the IT department to determine what IT-based controls are in place to prevent the company from being subjected to data protection and access management vulnerabilities.

The second area is IBM's e-commerce capability. e-Commerce is the ability to process data in a secure environment using e-mail or other secured forms of communication. When an e-Commerce site is set up, IBM e-Commerce uses web based e-commerce software that allows businesses to process transactions and communicate with their customers. An example of an e-Commerce site includes an online store or a shopping cart system that allows a customer to complete their purchase online. The software interacts with an IBM WebSphere Application Manager (SAAS), which manage the software, the network, and the connectivity between the internet and the IBM e-Commerce site. IBM SaaS is a software development platform that is used to deliver e-Commerce functionality via the IBM WebSphere Information Platform (IoIP).

Another area is IBM Workforce Solutions. Workforce solutions include public cloud applications, such as LinkedIn and Facebook. They also include private clouds, such as the IBM Cloud Investment Platform (ICP), which delivers enterprise-class investment and risk management, workforce management, payroll processing, customer service, advanced analytics, inventory, and marketing applications. These applications help businesses reduce their overall cost of ownership, make it easier to meet their staffing and data protection needs, and gain greater insight into the activities of their workforce, even when they are not in the office.

IBM offers several different public cloud services that can be tailored to meet the unique requirements of individual organizations. One such service is IBM Workplace Analytics Cloud Service, which is ideal for companies that require real-time data analysis and reporting for their enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. The cloud service providers can automatically provide reports and dashboards based on real-time data from the IBM Workplace Analytics Platform, which helps managers make strategic decisions about employee performance and business strategy. This cloud service provider uses the IBM WebSphere Information Platform (IoIP), which is also used in the IBM WebSphere Information Products and EConnect.

IBM Workforce Solutions also offers several other public clouds, such as IBM Cloud Database. This is an online application service that is used for managing small, medium, or large databases, which are accessed by multiple sites. This is a great solution for companies that need high availability and failover applications. For example, if one site goes down, the others can continue operating. The IBM Cloud Data Migration Service is also available for migrating data between different environments and servers, which can reduce operational costs.

There are also several hybrid cloud environments that IBM offers, including IBM Cloud Security Premier, which is designed for companies that cannot afford a full on-site firewall. The IBM Cloud Security Premier offers a suite of protection services that includes block-level security, packet management, infrastructure optimization, and data duplication. On the other hand, the IBM Cloud Security consists of a suite of industry-standard features, such as security, performance management, scalability, recovery, compliance, service discovery, service level agreement, and web site optimization.
