Hi James
Apologies for delay, I was OOO so just picking up now.
MaaS360 App Catalog delivers apps generally in 2 ways:
1. Via the App Catalog using files (APK, IPA etc) which are uploaded to the Catalog and pushed to the device directly.
2. Via the stores (App Store, Play Store...) where the apps exist on the stores and the apps are installed from the store to the device.
The first option will deliver upgrades to apps provided the "Install Automatically" box has been checked, and the "Update Automatically" box has been checked, prior to distribution (push) to devices.
The second relies on the store configuration. So for Device Admin (Android) or iOS (Normal mode), the user needs to either configure automatic updates manually, or go into the store app and identify available updates. For devices in Android Enterprise (PO or DO mode), or iOS Supervised devices, the stores will auto-install and auto-update apps.
Hope this helps.

Subject: Software Patching
Maas360 use to have software patch management. This was one of the main reasons for going with Maas360. With the sale of BigFix we lost this capability yet told a solution would come and have yet to get a solution.
Are there any updates on having software patch management for software like Google Chrome, Firefox, Adobe, Skype, etc?
