Database Integration after Standalone to Managed units

    Hi Everyone,

My customer wants to install the collectors at different locations and integrate the databases for the standalone collectors.
Once they are able to give connectivity to CM, they wanted to add as managed unit to that CM.
Will it create any problem for the databases to configure rules, distributed reports etc if we convert that standalone collectors to manged units in future?
Or should we add collectors first to CM then only go for database integration?

    Thanks,

When registering a collector with CM it gets all report, policy audit process, alert datamart and other definitions from the CM - all specific local definitions are lost.
Also audit process results, Quick Search indexes, distributed reports data etc. from before registration become inaccessible.
It is recommended to configure a CM and MUs cluster first - standalone collectors are not used in production by many customers , provide limited functionality and require more administrative overhead
