Authenticating to Db2 for z/OS with a single credential is no longer considered secure and compliant. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) requires more than a single credential for authentication. Db2 for z/OS has been enhanced to support MFA connections from distributed sysplex workload balancing clients and Db2 Tools. Encryption capabilities in Db2 have also been continuously enhanced in Db2 V12. Db2 V12 Function level 505 introduced new Built-in encryption functions that can allow data to remain encrypted in memory.

This session with Gayathiri Chandran reviews the MFA support and the new Built-in encryption functions.
