Guardium Insights 3.2 is now available!

With the evolution of Guardium Insights, IBM Security is prepared to support the evolving role of the data security analyst, address challenges, and work with you to help future-proof your organization as much as possible. IBM Security Guardium Insights is a modern, scalable data security platform. It protects sensitive and regulated data across multiple cloud environments while managing compliance obligations, discovering where sensitive data lives, monitoring what's important, and reducing your risk while responding to threats. And as threats become a more relevant concern to many of our clients, we have heard questions like:
  • “How do I identify and communicate where I stand in terms of data security posture to my leadership?”
  • “What kinds of things should I be looking for when doing data security?”
  • “We're understaffed and overworked. What's the best way to prioritize my time?”

Guardium Insights continues to answer your questions by adjusting to the evolving role of the data security analyst. With the new features, there is something to look forward to for everyone!

Enhanced risk-based user experience
- 'Risk events' connect the dots to tell a broader story around events that impact the risk of your data across your organization
- Enhanced risk engine that includes more data points for calculating risk, using: Outliers, Privileged users, Vulnerability Assessment, Classification, Exceptions, and Policy Violations
- Automated responses for risk events using response rules
- Enhanced user experience that provides greater drill-down capabilities for understanding findings, how risk was calculated, the database users involved, detailed reports, and related risk events
- Ability to reduce the noise by excluding non-critical assets in reports
- Ability to customize the weighted values used in risk calculations with custom risk profiles

Best Practices Dashboard Templates
- Out-of-the-box template dashboards based on Guardium's years of accumulated knowledge in the industry

- 'In report' and 'Not in report' filters allow you to reference values in another report for correlation use cases.

Reports distribution based on rules for auditing
- Allows the creation of rules that define which users receive data based on report attributes such as Client/Server IP, and database type. Example: One report can be divided up and sent to roles or individuals based on who owns the data.
