 Unable to connect to Kafka cluster from the APP Connect designer

Hi,

I'm not able to connect to Kafka cluster from the APP Connect designer node, not sure what's the issue. it could be a bug but I'm not sure. here's my settings, kindly advise:

What was the error message?  Many times it is also do to an issue with firewalls and DNS.  Make sure the proper firewalls are opened and DNS routes to the correct location.  If this is in the same cluster, then I would recommend routing to Service and not the Route so message flow inside of the cluster.

What is the version of Kafka that is used, I believe the latest version of Kafka may be incompatible with the connector libraries.

If you are using Kafka 4.0 with the SCRAM‑SHA‑512 SASL mechanism, please note that this mechanism is currently incompatible with our connector libraries. We are working on adding to support for SCRAM‑SHA‑512.

In the meantime, if SCRAM‑SHA‑512 is a strict requirement, then the Kafka version would need to be downgraded 3.x. Alternatively, if possible, could you consider using another supported security option—such as TLS—until our update is available?
