Is anyone using Rubrik backups on AIX.  The amount of dependencies is a lot to overcome, and I would like to see if I am going about it correctly.

From the filename, I'm assuming it's an RPM, and that it's giving you RPM dependencies.

Before going into more time consuming options, check if they have a shell script to download the needed RPMs.

If they don't, I suggest you install YUM/DNF.  Even if you don't have internet access from the machines, you can setup an RPM repository on the NIM server and configure all the LPARs with YUM pointing there.  It's a bit of effort but it pays off, especially the second time you have to install/update an RPM.

    Hi,

we've been running Rubrik on AIX (7.1 and 7.2) for some time now. Apart from neededing curl to be a certain version I don't recall any actual pre-reqs rpm-wise for the install of the rubrik rpm, although we did install jq to help with decoding some of the JSON output when interacting with the REST API.
As ever using yum is a great help.

Thank everyone for their support.  I found out our storage team downloaded the wrong version of Rubrik.  The correct version is not giving me all the rpm issues.
