    Greetings,

We currently have samba service running on one of our server.
The OS version of lpar is 7100-05-08-2114
    The samba version is 3.2.0.0
    #lslpp -l | grep -i samba
samba.base 3.2.0.0 COMMITTED Samba for AIX
samba.license 3.2.0.0 COMMITTED Samba for AIX
samba.man.en_US 3.2.0.0 COMMITTED Samba for AIX
samba.base 3.2.0.0 COMMITTED Samba for AIX

User's have Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) on which our samba directories are mapped as network drives. The issue user's facing is that everytime the user log's off the system, the network drives gets unmapped and user has to remap the drive in order to start the application, as the application has the dependency of the network drive to start.
Can someone help us identify the cause of this behavior in order to resolve it and also let us know if any other higher version of samba might be able available for the current OS level which we can try to implement as well.
