does anybody knows is it possible to tune "Failure Detection Rate" for ethernet network , as in PowerHA 6.1 and HACMP 5.X ?

Idea is to slow adapter and/or network failure detection to prevent failover on short network glitches.

As much I understand product, topology is now function of AIX CAA ?

And using "clctrl -tune -a" doesn't show any such tunable.

    Thanks in advance.

The short answer is yes, its quite straight forward as before though the SMIT menus are around for it.  I just recently, like within the last month, update the PowerHA cookbook redbook to include a table of both before 7.1 and 7.1.x and tuning math. It is in section 3.7.4.

Though its not network type specific, there other options when sites are being used.

    Hope this helps.

Recently a CAA Ifix has been made available to achieve this, open a PMR to IBM SW Support to ask for the 'CAA FDT ifix'
