Hi POWER Friends!

When design and implementing solutions on IBM POWER servers you want to balance:
  • Good Enough Performance
  • Flexibility
  • Availability
  • Budget Constraints

If you follow many of the blogs on this site you will get very detailed tutorials and descriptions on reaching 100% performance based on many different use cases,
CPU scheduling, Network Performance, IO performance, VM alignment etc.

To strike a balance I have collected what I considered a sensible starting point without over engineering a virtualized setup below Power_Implementation_Quality_Standard_2_3_2020.pptx

You can always find the latest version here:
https://ibm.box.com/v/powerbestpractice

I am sure you will find some controversial statements in the document so let the debate start in the comment section!
Just remember the premise of the collection before flaming it too hard!
