    MAM 7.6.1.2:

I want to track edits to classifications (new & updates).
Reason: Classifications are complicated and mistakes are often made. When troubleshooting issues, it would help to know who made the edit, and when.

I think I could track the edits by adding custom CHANGEBY and CHANGEDATE columns to the CLASSSTRUCTURE table. And populate those fields via an automation script.
However, I'm wondering that it might get difficult and messy in a hurry -- due to all the related tables that are involved in classifications. I think I'd want to track changes to those tables too.

    Question:
Is an automation script the best way to do this? Or are there any OOB alternatives?

    Thanks.
