WebSphere 8.5.5 error renewing Personal Certificate for Node01.

    Hoping to get some pointers on how to troubleshoot and resolve an issue we are having on our WebSphere 8.5.5 Maximo cluster.
    The Personal Certificate for Node 01 expired back on Jul 5th.
    When I check the box on the cert and click on 'Renew' I receive an error stating:
    'An error occurred renewing default.com.ibm.websphere.crypto KeyException: Invalid Password'

    At no time am I prompted to enter a password and in looking at security.xml all the passwords are identical and there hasn't been any changes made to this platform in 4yrs following go-live?

    Suggestions on how to resolve this will be appreciated.  We are currently running production on half a cluster.

    Hi John,

    It sounds like you did the initial install without a signed certificate from a certificate authority.  Do you recall the installation you performed or did a third party do that for you? The personal certificate sounds like the certificate used to secure the WebSphere console.  Are you using http for you Maximo URL or is it set up for https? Please provide a bit more about your infrastructure setup.  Thank in advance.

    Is this the default WebSphere certificate you are talking about or a CA certificate ?
