Once you remove the MQ client on a Windows server via control panel, does this require a reboot?

    My first time doing this.

    Thanks.

In some cases, a reboot may be required, in other cases it may not be.

The main issue is if there are "files in use" that are locked by the Windows file system and so cannot be removed.  If any of these are found, their removal will be postponed to the next reboot.  If the system has been properly quiesced before uninstall there should not be any files in use.

So to be safe you should reboot, though you could probably check that install directory was empty after uninstall and if it is, there is may be no need for a reboot.
