  • 1.  IBM MQ Client with Swift (Banking Application)

    Our scenario:

    T24 Temenos <======> IBM MQ (v 8.0) ======> IBM MQ Client(v9.0.7) <=======> SWIFT

    We are recieving the following error on IBM MQ Client

    Unexpected return code: libosa errno=9 (The storage control block address is invalid.)

    Message catalog: 1, Message number: 1000

    Function return code: Error = 9: Bad file descriptor

    Context: Failed to load library ../../lib/win64/libMXS_hamqc.dll

    Program: mxs_ha, file: osa_dynlib.c, line: 57, function: osa_dynlib.c

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Messages are stuck at IBM MQ .

    Appreciate any solution.

    Hi Muhammad,

    I've not seen this error before but to me it suggests a file system or configuration issue. Given that MQ v9.0 is out of support I would consider performing a fresh install of the latest MQ v9.3 client and see if that resolves the issue. If the error persists you'll probably need to raise a support ticket. You haven't stated whether this is test or production system, as with any upgrade,  I would always recommend you perform a full regression test in a non-production environment before upgrading and production systems.

    You say "MQ Client" but all that means is an application that happens to be using the MQ client libraries as part of its processing.

    Those messages appear to have nothing to do with MQ, but look like a corrupted application installation. I suggest you discuss it with your application developer/vendor.
