  • 1.  App Connect problem connecting to Oracle Database

    I am using the IBM App Connect Designer to develop a flow that takes data from an Oracle database and loads it into Salesforce. I have been trying to get the connect to Oracle to work with no success.

    Here is the information that I have been submitting using the connection interface, and I have verified it:




    Every time I execute the connect I get the following error:




    In order to connect to the database I am connecting through the IBM Secure Gateway and I'm able to see that the connection to gateway has been established and then shortly thereafter is closed and removed.

    Looking at the Oracle logs I see no sign that the request is being received by Oracle.

    However using another machine running Oracle SQL Develop with the same connection parameters the connection is able to be established no problem.

    Is your App Connect Designer running on the internet?
    And your Oracle Database on a local network?
    Inside a virtual machine?
    Do you get any logs from the IBM Secure Gateway?
    Do you get any logs from any firewalls?
    Is KCADB_500 having the same DB privileges at both Oracle instances?

    Matthias,

    Yes my App Connect Designer is running on the internet.  The Oracle instance is running on a IBM Cloud Virtual Instance and the Secure Gateway is set up to allow access.  The login idea KCADB_500 is a valid id and we can access the database using the SQL Developer going through the secure gate way and all access works fine.  I do have the logs for the secure gateway and it shows the connection being established and then closed and removed.  We now are getting an issue with login and password issues.   Which I believe a configuration problem (version or other ) within Oracle...
