  • 1.  How to uninstall the Integration Module

    My customer wants to uninstall the Integration Module which they no longer need. My understanding is that there is no way to uninstall it, by that they must simply disable it using a tool downloadable from Fix Central.
    Am I correct?

    Hi Patrick,

    There are license feature disable/enable tools in FixCentral.
    They make the respective license feature dis-/appear, while under the covers the feature remains activated ("sleeping in the deepest caves").
    Searching for "DataPower" at https://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/ and e.g. version "2018.4.1", on next screen by Text "tool", on the next listing you see a package "Tools-20181001" inside which you'll find the disable/enable tools.

    (In contrast, the initial license feature activators are available via Passport Advantage only. I think we also have deactivators, not sure if these are on Passport Advantage, too. I didn't see them in FixCentral. So if you think the disable/enable tools are not enough, feel free to raise a case with IBM Support via https://www.ibm.com/mysupport/ for assistance.)

    Hi August,
    Thanks for this confirmation. We found these disable/enable tools on Fix Central. However, I was not 100% sure that this was enough for my customer to get in compliance (without buying the Integration module license). We shall not use the deactivator since it is not mandatory.
