Presented at the 2022 Client Workshop EMEA. With IBM z16 the next generation of mainframes has been released including new technologies like the Integrated Accelerator for AI, quantum safe algorithm acceleration and increased system capacity. In this talk we will demonstrate those technologies and capabilities by means of different examples covering the key areas Scalable System, Decision Velocity (AI/ML), Quantum Safe and Hybrid Cloud by using the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. We will also show performance comparisons and core consolidation against latest x86 systems.
