Presented at the virtual Linux on IBM Z and LinuxONE Workshop on March 4-5, 2020This presentation provides an overview of the crypto HW of the IBM Z and LinuxONE platform and how these crypto HW features can be exploited with a special emphasis on new features introduced with z15 / LinuxONE III. In particular the presentation covers the Linux crypto stack consisting and the exploitation of the latest Crypto Express adapters (CEX7S) as well as new CPACF features (supporting ECC). The presentation will also provide the latest news on Pervasive Encryption and describe a new monitoring tool for requests to Crypto Express adapters.
