    Hi all,

    has anyone installed maven on z/OS? I am trying to get some insights what to watch for and any special instructions if someone can provide some help...

    Hi Alex,

    Apache Maven has actually been made available through the priced product IBM Open Data Analytics for z/OS. If you have this product installed, you can install Apache Maven following these instructions: https://izoda.github.io/site/anaconda/optional-packages/#apache-maven

    If you're looking to 'port' this over yourself; it doesn't have any major gotchyas. Assuming you're using bash 4.2.53; it will require the standard tagging of files as ASCII and converting executables to EBCDIC.
