IBM z14: Important migration notice for all SA z/OS and GDPS users !
If you plan to install or upgrade to an IBM z14 mainframe, it is important to
know that the initial default of the LPAR BCPii access permission settings,
introduced with this machine, may need to be changed in order to maintain
BCPii availability in your environment.
This change must be made for each z14 LPAR that is targeted by a BCPii
application to receive BCPii requests for execution. In addition, the z14 LPARs
where BCPii applications, such as SA z/OS and GDPS are executed, require the LPAR
permission setting that allows to send BCPii requests to local or remote LPARs
in the processor LAN.
It is highly recommended that you complete all BCPii LPAR security migration
actions, before going into production with the z14.
