Hi,
I'm a full stack developer (Java, Angular, React, Ionic,...) and I've been using editors like Eclipse, Webstorm or VSCode for several years now.
The VSCODE plugin is a real advantage in daily use (Hilight Syntax in REXX/JCL, auto-completion,, ....) but I feel disturbed by the approach which remains very different from classical DEVOPS development on Java or Angular.
I use to work locally on my laptop (With my own Springboot server, my own nodeJS server,....) and I push my development on git when I've finished my feature. The GITLAB CI/CD feature tests, builds and deploys my work on the real infrastructure. With the Open Z Plugin we work on the "real" infrastructure (Not a local one) and it seems a bit disturbing for a classical developer.
ZD&T would be the right solution but what a pity that the product has to be paid for….

Subject: What do think about the integration of VSCode with MTM-2020?
According to me, the integration has made the MTM much more user-friendly🤝 and more intuitive👌. VSCode provides many extensions which can be used to make our life much easier 💆♂️and can be customised to our heart contain😍 .
But, I know there are many people who like the old-school way👾, they prefer the black/blue screen👨💻. They are overwhelmed by all GUI components and all the customisations.
What are your views on this topic? Please share I would love to hear from you.
Do you like the integration or you like the black screen❓
By the way, this is my VSCode welcome page, did you like this? You can share your VSCode welcome page too and then we can vote✌ whose is the best😎.
