Now this sounds like a very traditional method tested by centuries of people doing the same.

I live in India and cold seasons here are like once in a blue moon. Out of 365 days, 300 days are hot🥵, so we all keep on inventing newer methods (
juggads)💡 to keep ourselves cool.
My personal way of keeping myself is, to go to a riverbank🌊 (which is about 5 km from my home), sit under a large and shady banyan tree🌳(which is, according to some, older than 100 years) and drink coconut🥥 water.

How do you cool off in hot weather?
I'm clearly hanging out with like-minded people here in this community because you all recommended so many movies I already love! I got a number of new suggestions (The Imitation Game, Instant Family, JoJo Rabbit, Get Smart), some reminders of old favorites I haven't seen in a while (Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Dances with Wolves) and lots that we watch often (Wallace and Gromit, NeverEnding Story, Hidden Figures).
But the winner is Princess Bride, which should surprise no one. This movie has become a huge classic, but few love it so much as the geek community!
As I type this, I'm sitting outside in my yard in rural New York on a hot day. We don't have air conditioning, so staying cool is something we have to plan for. We close the curtains during the day and open the windows with fans at night. This is possible only because in New York it gets hot during the day, but it cools off quite a bit most nights.
I know that some of you live in very hot climates and some others are just starting on your fall season. But it would be great to hear what you do in your country to cool off on a hot day.
