Hi there,
I'm trying to find a good definition online for what LinuxONE machines actually are (besides "specialized servers built exclusively to run Linux enterprise applications" as
defined by SUSE). My understanding is that LinuxONE usually mainly have IFLs because they are meant to be used with Linux on LPAR installations only but also believe that a z15 can be converted into a LinuxONE and vice versa.
There's this
quick overview of z15 and LinuxOne III and superficially, there also seems to be more I/O power in the z15 box than in the LinuxOne which then again seems to have more PUs itself.
Am I getting it all wrong? Are there other difference that escaped my notice?
Thanks for any help with clarification in advance.
