    Hi Giovanni,
If you are not using SMS managed for those files,
you need to have a disk mounted with STORAGE attribute.

So, I have to create a new DASD using dasdinit.exe utility and register in the SYS1.PARMLIB(VATLST00) ?

    Thank you

well, you can do that, for next ipl the disk will be mounted automatically,
meanwhile you can choose a disk of your current configuration and issued the follow command :
    mount /XXXX,vol=(sl,LABEL of disk),use=storage

The message basically means The disk where the file exists is not available to the system where the RECEIVE is running.

The message says SCRTCH is the VOLSER for dynamically defined DDNAME SYS00014. That information implies that the data set is new and temporary and the default location is a work disk (scratch volume).

Probably you have too few work disks or none defined for SMPWRKx or SYSUTn which may be in the SMP/E Global Zone DDDEFs and not in the ISPFPROC JCL itself.

Hope this points you in the right direction.

It appears from first glance that you are trying to allocate a unit that does not exist. Possibly a scratch tape. You do not state what type of receive you are doing. SMPE, TSO XMIT? More information on the command being issued, any JCL (I am assuming this is under TSO so logon proc would help) and from where would assist. Plus any log messages before and after the one being shown.
