We are thrilled to resume Z Councils in the Charlotte area! For our return session, we would like to showcase some of the most exciting developments around IBM Z.
To kick off the day, Frank de Gilio and DeWayne Hughes will sit down to share their experiences from customer projects and share lessons learned, foundations to build upon, and give people new ways to talk and think about mainframe modernization.
Next, we will have Shelly Meierarend give an update on what IBM is doing to help build a sustainable mainframe workforce. They will discuss the IBM Z Skills program and its work to build future zSkills and attract and retain talent.
Then, Mark Rader, will talk about Db2 13 for z/OS. This session will focus on what has occurred since the GA announcement. The new capabilities are introduced into Db2 13 through continuous delivery via APARs in a single service stream. New capabilities, utilities update, and the new History Table will be discussed.
Finally, Roy Duke will discuss how IBM Z Digital Integration Hub (zDIH) provides a new approach to efficiently share real-time information between core systems running on z/OS and hybrid cloud applications, while also offering operational and development optimizations and TCO advantages. This session will provide an overview of the zDIH solution, discuss how it integrates with your systems of record and hybrid cloud applications.
