Summary
Traditionally z/OS users have accessed the systems through 3270 and ISPF, leveraging what we commonly refer to as “green screen”. With the growth of Unix Systems Services and SSH, a new paradigm is being born for newer z/OS users to access the systems. And with IBM Z Open Automation Utilities(ZOAU), the limitations within USS to interact with MVS resources are becoming fewer and fewer. ZOAU’s robust command line interface provides many capabilities for interacting with z/OS within USS, which can also be scripted for automation in your favorite languages. Join our session to get an overview of ZOAU, and a demo of the power of the commands in action!
