Mainframes are often considered as legacy systems, first introduced in the 50s. Quantum computers are the new, hot stuff, with some systems already made available by IBM in the U.S. as well as in Germany. We will have a discussion with Nico Einsidler and Joris Mertens about those technologies, if and how they can work together, and what we can expect from them right now as well as in the future. You will also learn where you can get access to them to try them out. The session will be concluded with a short introduction to an IBM student contest.
