This virtual event will be both presentation and hands-on labs.

Objective:

IBM Washington Systems Center is pleased to invite you to our Confidential Computing on IBM zSystems® and LinuxONE with Hyper Protect Virtual Servers 2.1.3 Wildfire Workshop.

This workshop will cover these topics:

  • Introduction to Confidential Computing and its implementation on IBM zSystems and LinuxONE
  • Introduction to Hyper Protect Virtual Servers 2.1.3 and its two main components- Hyper Protect Container Runtime and Crypto Express Network API for Secure Execution Enclaves
  • Hands-on lab using Hyper Protect Virtual Servers 2.1.3

During the lab, students will gain extensive hands-on experience with Hyper Protect Virtual Servers 2.1.3.  Students will:

  • Configure the logging service for a Hyper Protect Virtual Servers 2.1.3 guest
  • Configure mutual authentication and encryption between the Hyper Protect Virtual Servers 2.1.3 guest and the logging service
  • Configure mutual authentication and encryption between the Hyper Protect Virtual Servers 2.1.3 guest and a Crypto Express Network API for Secure Execution Enclaves server
  • Create a signed and encrypted workload contract required by the Hyper Protect Container Runtime and then launch this workload
  • Configure mutual authentication and encryption between sample client code and the Hyper Protect Virtual Servers 2.1.3 guest
  • Configure and test the sample client code to prove the success of your lab setup
