We are thrilled to announce the return of in-person IBM zSystems Customer Councils to the Carolinas.
This session will focus on some of the most exciting developments in IBM technology, particularly in the area of AI.
We are honored to have IBM Fellow Elpida Tzortzatos share current and future directions of the IBM zSystems AI Strategy. She will cover the new AI capabilities IBM delivered with z16 to enable clients to leverage AI at scale and in real-time on every business transaction to improve fraud detection, deepen customer insights and drive faster IT decisions to create new revenue opportunities.
Deploying Enterprise AI at scale requires a new technology stack. Elpida will explore the AI ecosystem and how you can leverage AI frameworks, tools, and software (both IBM and open source) to deliver new value with AI. In addition, we’ll discuss a broad range of AI use cases that demonstrate the benefits of leveraging AI in enterprise applications.
Next, we’ll talk about what you need to consider to ensure your IT infrastructure is fit for your business purpose, how to build your IT infrastructure based on business decisions, rather than “fashion-based” decisions, and how to overcome the objections you may face as you build out your IT infrastructure to meet current and future business needs. Rebecca Levesque from 21st Century Software will share extensive research to back up key points made in her presentation.
Then, Anna Su will introduce a new Db2 v13 capability. With IBM Db2 SQL Data Insights, organizations can use SQL to embed AI insights within Db2 for z/OS applications. This database-integrated approach extends the traditional relational model beyond exact value matching to incorporate similarities, dissimilarities, clustering, and analogies, allowing organizations to apply AI in new ways for better insights.
To close out the day, we will look at the intersection between AI and Security which we call IntelligentSecurity, which includes AI for Security, Securing AI, and AI Security Operations. Eysha Powers and Tim Wurth will discuss all three areas and how they are interrelated.
