    I was told that my license has expired is there anyway I can enable it

    Joe, this message says that your license is not available for the emulator. You may have not installed it yet.

    Please, give us some more details:

    1. Your are using sw-based license or hw-based license (USB)? 

    2. Are you using remote license server?

    3. Have you obtained your license file and installed it?

    Hi sorry for the late response but I opened  a PMR with IBM and haven't gotten too far

     

    does this command mean my licensce is up to date

    Yes, your USB hw-base license is ready.

    if you have GUI installed on your  instance, you can access some more details in the browser. Type: localhost:7002

    If you are using remote USB hw-based license manager, you can enter in the browser on your client instance with the License Manager hostnam, port 7002, as follows:

    Hello,

    we have the same problem with:
    ADCD z/OS V2.4 for IBM Z Development and Test Environment 13.0 RSU 2003 Multilingual eAssembly (CJ8G7ML)
    Personal-Edition with hardware based license.

    The license file was installed successfully.
    The emulator starts and obtains the license for the CPs.
    If we try to decrypt B4RES1.ZPD or SARES1.ZPD we get the following messages:

    LIC hasp: * Communication error between API and local Sentinel License Manager : code=33
    Error: Token access failed SFNT Return code: 227

    zPDTA Demo Expired
    Error: ADCD File format is invalid or corrupt
    Error: ADCD File format is invalid or corrupted

    MD5 checksum is correct for both files.
    Is there any solution for this problem?

    In order to decrypt the volumes you need to stop zPDT as this process uses the license keys. If zPDT is running then that is using the license keys so they are not available to the decryption process.

    ​The emulator was stopped.
    But we fixed the problem.
    The License File was installed with the SecureUpdateUtility. This command should be used for zPDT prior GA5.
    After switching to the command Z1091_token_update, the decryption could be executed successfully.
