  • 1.  IBM ZD&T Learners Edition - Does it matter which country I select in the Marketplace?

    I would like to purchase a license for the IBM ZD&T Learners Edition. Does it matter which country I select in the Marketplace? I'm currently living in Germany but I don't speak German fluently, but the only option is Germany-German

    I was under the impression that it was only being rolled out in the USA at the moment, maybe someone could point to the relevant area where it states this as I could not find it.

    Unfortunately the Learner's Edition is not available in EMEA, rather only in the US. And from what I have understood now the US is even in review.

    Thank you a lot both Sebastian and Scott for you answers.

    If that is the case, that's only available in the US, then the information available is very misleading. For example, though indeed the Learners Edition doesn't appear in the Germany, Spain or France Marketplace pages, it does for other EMEA countries like United Kingdom, Belgium, Denmark and Czech Republic.

    Interesting Scott,  I know there were great efforts to figure out a mechanism to take orders in other countries, going on last year.  

    It will be a real shame if this is held up over an admin issue.

    Hi Scott,

    Is there anywhere on the IBM website that talks about country eligibility ? I wonder about the people who have see that the learners edition will be available to them and after working their way through the Z Xplore courses they will find out it's not valid for them.

    That's exactly my situation. Not only the Z Xplore, but I also completed the Coursera "z/OS Mainframe Practitioner" course, which is not free by the way.
