  • 1.  GPU libraries for transcription

    Hi all,

I'm working with a client who is looking to port their transcription service software to s390x in order to move their solution off AWS and on to IBM Cloud.

I have had a call with the development team of the specific transcription software they use and they mentioned the reason they have issues porting to other architectures is lack of support for some specific libraries that work out of the box on amd64. These 3 key libraries are:

        1 - Libtorch

        2 - G-streamer

3 - BLAS (Basic Linear Algebra Subprograms)

If anyone has any knowledge on these 3 libraries and whether or not we have done any work to port them to s390x then that would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

gstreamer and BLAS are available as rpm packages (ported for s390x) in openSUSE and should be also available for SLES in openSUSE Backports.

    You can use it!

    Do you need anything else?

BLAS exists ported for s390x in openSUSE (and with that should exist in SUSE Linux Enterprise Backports). The same counts for gstreamer.

Feel free to use our rpm packages.
