Gaining access to current z/OS system to develop training materials

  • 1.  Gaining access to current z/OS system to develop training materials

I've been developing and teaching IBM application programmer materials since 1975. I "retired" around 2012, but joined in the Advent of Code event in December 2023 and found I still enjoyed working with z/OS, so I'm on a stint to update my course materials. The idea is to sell the materials to companies that do their own internal training - I even propose companies should set up their own resource centers of training materials. Visit Technical Training

Although my materials are designed with live in-person classroom training in mind, they can also be used as self-study when lecture material and instructor notes are given to an individual, or even a small team.

To accomplish my update I need to access a current z/OS system to test machine exericses for course labs and to validate my understanding of how certain facilities work. I would like to have access for a few weeks to a couple of months.

My courses focus on ISPF, JCL, Assembler, REXX, Dialog Manager, COBOL, VSAM, Language Environment, and z/OS UNIX System Services.
