    Hi Dear:

    We have a historic issue with sharing several disk devices between z/OS LPAR and z/VM at IPL time, resulting in elongated time for the z/OS to load. Disk volumes are copied from the z/OS side to the z/VM with same labels (these labels cannot be changed on z/VM side, which would affect users), leading to a tiresome and time consuming from the Operators. Would appreciate ideas to resolve this. Tks.

    The first solution that arises is the option to configure these addresses as 'offline at IPL' on z/OS side . Not sure this would resolve the issue . tks.
