A new Zowe trial experience is open to you now! With Zowe V2 preinstalled, you can access the latest Zowe environment and go through four well-designed scenarios to have a basic understanding of how Zowe V2 works. In this refreshed Zowe IBM Z Trial, we incorporated users’ feedback and comments to better the experience in your trial journey. Also, we have enriched the content with some tips or notes to make it easier to perform your actions and understand Zowe. Here are some highlights in this enhancement.

Improved user experience
This new design brings you enhanced user experience in each scenario. With Zowe updated to 2.2.0, you will experience more capabilities and possibilities that different core components offer.
More tips and notes everywhere you might need
In this redesign, we have added more information that you might need while performing tasks. For example, we have added the credential information that you might need to create datasets, upload files, or connect to z/OS. This will save you from the hassle of scrolling up and down to locate the necessary information.
Apart from that, we have supplemented some demonstrations based on user feedback to explain the situation that you are experiencing. This ensures that you are in control at every step and will never feel lost.
Simplified operations
In the Extend Zowe App Framework scenario, we have simplified the experience of changing the application interface size for you. Although we still provide instructions on how to achieve this, we have completed this step in the backend for you to save you time and effort. You can now seamlessly enjoy the entire trial journey without interruption.
Enhancement at backend
In this trial refresh, we have upgraded Zowe to 2.2.0 with many other client-side tools updated as well, including IFrame Sample, TN3270, Angular App, etc. Additionally, we have updated all necessary non-Zowe tools and applications to improve your experience.
What we want to highlight is the enhanced configuration in Zowe V2. Although it may not be immediately apparent to you, the configuration process is much simpler than in V1. For example, in Zowe V2, the team configuration consolidates the number of z/OS configuration files required for a single, consistent administration experience. If you have adopted Zowe V2, the streamlined and simplified configuration will accelerate your use, exploration, and extension of Zowe. Give it a try in your Zowe environment!
