openSUSE Leap 15.4 released

This week openSUSE Leap 15.4 has been released. That includes of course the s390x architecture!
The new version does not provide only new packages, but also enhancements of the dasd formatting in Yast and graphical enablement.

You can download the latest build for IBM zSystems and LinuxONE from get.opensuse.org . Our download page will identify the next mirror close to you for a faster download time.
Thank you for the development collaboration to our sponsoring partner SUSE! You have got the benefit (since last year) to be able to use the same packages for SLES as for openSUSE Leap because of our binary compatibility. Therefore, you can migrate also from openSUSE Leap 15.4 to SLES 15 SP4 without any reinstallation of core packages. Only packages with the distribution logo will be replaced.

The openSUSE Leap 15.4 repositories for s390x are the following:
- https://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/15.4/repo/oss/

You can find the latest kernel for the installation in the oss download repository. You can also report bugs to us as the openSUSE community, if you can identify any issues.
I will handle all related things tagged with s390x (as fast as possible).

Enjoy our new release and have a lot of fun with Linux on IBM zSystems and LinuxONE!
