This blog explains the report generation in host side. Host side report generation in CICS IA helps in knowing the dependencies, affinity and threadsafe commands used in a CICS application or programs from SPOOL.

This helps the customers who don’t have a CICS IA plugin or z/OS database to make use of basic CICS IA features. Here, we will see the jobs and steps involved in creating host side report  and viewing the report in SPOOL.

Overview of CICS IA:

CICS Interdependency Analyzer (CICS IA) tool helps to identify the set of resources used by individual CICS transactions and their relationships to other resources.

Requirements:

• The CICS IA for host must be installed to the z/OS environment.
